Hardware & software requirements

The Herschel Manufacturing System is written using Microsoft Foxpro and will work on any PC running:

Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows Me
Windows NT / 2000
Windows XP

The system is fully multi-user, and will run on any network. We currently have users running Herschel on the following networks:

Windows peer to peer with no dedicated server
Windows NT / 2000 / XP with a dedicated server
Novell with a dedicated server
Windows PCs but with a dedicated server running Linux

Printing

The system will print to any Windows printer, including dot-matrix, ink-jet and laser. It can print in black or colour and documents can include graphics and barcodes.

As the Herschel System can print a professional looking logo and address details, many of our customers have moved away from multi-part or preprinted stationary to what we call the "blank A4" approach.
