Barcodes save time and stop mistakes |

Barcoding makes things fast and easy
Many systems use barcoding to speed up the entry of partnumbers and so on. Whilst this saves some time it’s not a fantastic improvement.
Herschel ERP uses barcodes in a far more inventive way.
Various documents can be printed with special barcodes. When these are scanned the Herschel software performs a complete transaction for you. This means that scanning one barcode can replace many mouse clicks and keyboard entries.
And of course, it practically eliminates errors!
Barcoding equipment
Herschel ERP will print barcoded documents on any laser or inkjet printer. No special barcode printer is needed.
To scan barcodes you’ll need a low cost scanner (less than £100)that simply plugs into your PC’s keyboard or USB port.
Barcoded Transactions
The following transactions can be done with a single barcode scan:
· Purchase order receipt · Sales order despatch · Issue kit to works order · Issue kit line to works order · Receive a works order · Make a shopfloor booking · Clear a GRN for payment
