The Make module |
|
This is the hardest part?
Does it ever seem that the effort of gathering together the components required to make a batch of products, is harder than actually making the products themselves?
The process of bringing these components together is called “kitting”. For most companies it’s usually time consuming and problematic.
With the Make module, controlling the vitally important kitting process is made easy – the system does the hard work for you.
This can save you hours of expensive management time. |
|
Prepare for production
When you want to produce a batch of products you simply create what we call a “works order”. A works order tells the system what item you want to make, how many you need and when they’re needed. Then leave the rest to the Make module.
It looks at the parts list of the item (held in the BOMs module) and automatically calculates how many components are required.
You can immediately see what you need to produce the batch of products – and identify any components you’re short of straight away. The Make module works straight from the data held in the BOMs module, so there’s no risk of miscalculation or of missing anything out.
The Make module will also produce all the paperwork needed for the batch. A kitting list, labels and shopfloor jobsheet can all be printed with a few clicks of your mouse.
Launching a batch into production is guaranteed to take just a few moments when you use the Make module. |

What are you short of?
Sophisticated enquiries and reports allow you to keep a close eye on the kitting and progress of all the works orders that have been raised.
You can “trial kit” any order at any time. This is exactly like going into your stores and checking the stock of all the components needed for the batch – except you can do it in seconds, without leaving your desk!

Issuing stock to an order
Components can be issued to an order in seconds. We’ve designed the issuing options to be as fast as possible. This means your staff spend less time updating the system and more time actually moving stock.

|
Receive completed items—fast
As soon as works orders are partially or fully completed the batch is received into stock. This means that everyone can see what has been finished so far, and what’s outstanding.
Having this important information immediately to hand means that managing your shopfloor has never been easier. |
